Anupam Daa is all set for Kolkata 25!

Next day was the Pachmarhi Marathon
It was the month of July — a rough one for me mentally, as I had just left my old job without any immediate plan in sight. I was still processing it all, not really in my best shape, and just wanted to finish the marathon the next day and be done with it.
Then, out of the blue, I got a call from Anupam-da. He asked if I could help him prepare for his wish to run a half marathon soon. Honestly, that call gave me something unexpected — hope and motivation. It sparked the idea of trying this remote coaching or mentoring thing — a “phone-line training” model, if you will.
Soon, we were having endless WhatsApp chats and video calls about everything from food to shoes :) I’m genuinely proud and happy to see how much effort Anupam-da put in. He listened carefully, learned fast, and before long, he got himself a COROS GPS watch, a Strava account — all those small tech tools that made it easier for me to understand his running pattern.
Together, we planned his runs in such a way that even during his Africa photo tour, he stayed on track. And despite a short break near the end, his execution at Sohara was simply fabulous.
Thank you, Anupam-da, for trusting me and giving me the chance to share whatever I know about running. Wishing you all the very best for your upcoming Kolkata 25 — go make it count! 💪🏃♂️
